The election date is getting closer and closer, and we can’t help but think that Donald Trump has a decent chance of winning the election. American voters should really ask themselves if Trump is the right person to be sitting in the Oval Office. We think Donald Trump will be the death of America, if elected, and here are 22 reasons why.
A president shouldn’t be mocking people – Someone who’s aiming to become the president of the United States shouldn’t be making fun of people with disabilities. Trump mocked Serge, a journalist who suffers from arthogryposis, which is a condition that limits the way his joints function. During a rally in South Carolina, Donald made fun of his disability by bending his wrists and waiving them around.
Calling Mexicans rapists – “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists,” said Trump of Mexican immigrants. Does this sound like something a president of any country should be allowed to say?
Saying global warming is a hoax – Global warming is a real issue and our planet needs to take steps to reduce and stop it. So what does Trump think about this issue? “Global warming is a total and very expensive hoax,” he claims. Really?
He’s racist – United States of America already has a huge problem with racism and the last thing this country needs is a racist president. Don’t believe he’s racist? Check out this tweet from 2014: “Sadly, because president Obama has done such a poor job as president, you won’t see another black president for generations!”
Not wanting to cure sick Americans – Back in August of 2014, Trump tweeted that: “The U.S. cannot allow EBOLA infected people back. People that go to far away places to help out are great — but must suffer the consequences!” Sounds like he really cares about those great Americans…
Four of his casinos went bankrupt – Trump may be a good businessman, but not all of his businesses were successful. He sometimes takes questionable risks, which is why four of his casinos went bankrupt. Will he be able to make the right financial decisions when it comes to America’s tax dollars if he becomes the next president of the United States? Giving Trump the national purse strings doesn’t seem like the best idea.
He doesn’t listen to anybody – Some people say that “a president is only as good as his advisors.” However, advisors are not something Trump is used to. He called all the shots while running his empire for 40 years. Can he really change himself and listen to an army of advisors who’re trying to give him advice on the economy, military and foreign policy?
Donald has no political experience – Trump has never been an elected official. Sure, he made deals as part of his role as the CEO of his company, but he’s never had to broker a political compromise. Washington, D.C. is definitely not the same thing as Wall Street.
He is morally questionable – President of the United States should be a moral person and a family man, and we’re still not sure if this is the case with Trump. First off, he got married three times and has children with all of his wives. Keep in mind that American people aren’t fans of this – Ronald Reagan famously lost his first bid to become president because voters couldn’t accept the fact that he was divorced and Nancy was his second wife.
He sues everyone – Politics is all about compromise. Instead of trying to find a solution, Trump just sues everyone. Over the years, he sued numerous people and companies. For example, he sued a comedian Bill Maher for $5 million in 2013 after he said he’d give $5 million to charity if Donald shows his birth certificate and proves to the world that his father is not an orangutan. It was just a joke, Trump…
He’s intolerant – Trump constantly attacks women, minorities and illegal immigrants, and could potential undo all the political progress U.S. has made during the last century when it comes to women’s rights and racial equality.
He talks like a third-grader – Most presidents in the 20th and 21st century have spoken with a 9th grade to 12th grade comprehension level (except George H.W. Bush, of course), but Trump takes it to a new low. Just listen to one of his speeches…
He never explains how he’s going to do anything – For example, he wants to get rid of Obamacare, but he has no idea what he’s going to replace it with. He did release a plan to take care of illegal immigration, however. His idea is to mass deport pretty much everyone he doesn’t like…
He doesn’t come through on his promises – Back in 2006, Donald bought a huge estate in Scotland where he built a luxury golf course. The local government was promised that its construction would bring 6,000 jobs to the neighborhood, but it produced only 200. A documentary about this whole debacle was released a few years later. It’s called You’ve Been Trumped.
He’s hasty – Trump is known to make hasty decisions, which is not a good trait, especially for a president. For example, he tweeted the chart pictured above in 2014, which shows that 81% of white people are killed by blacks, just to prove his point and without checking the actual source. FBI responded by saying that Crime Statistics Bureau – San Francisco doesn’t even exist and that real figures are totally different. Just 15% of whites were actually killed by blacks in 2014.
He believes that marital rape simply doesn’t exist – In case you don’t remember, Trump’s wife filed a case for marital rape against him. Well, he defended himself by saying that there’s no such thing as marital rape. Is he for real?
He was a badly behaved kid – Because of this, his father sent him to military school. And you know what they say — some things never change.
Trump University scandal – In case you didn’t know, Trump is facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit on the grounds of fraud, which was filed by over 150 furious students of Trump University. Apparently, his university was a massive scam. How can American people trust him with the education system after this scandal?
His stand on China – When asked about what would be his plans for China, he said: “Our country is in serious trouble. We don’t have victories anymore. We used to have victories, but we don’t have them. When was the last time anybody saw us beating, let’s say China in a trade deal? I beat China all the time. All the time.” Let’s just hope he doesn’t start World War III if he becomes a president.
Donald Trump on Baltimore – Shortly after the death of Freddie Gray, Trump shared these words on Twitter: “Our great African American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore!” Can he be any more offensive?
He’s shameless – Trump posted this photo with the following caption: “Happy #CincoDeMayo! The Best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!…” Not only was this a shameless plug, but Trump was obviously being sarcastic. This photo drove many Hispanics really mad.
He’s insulting – Trump insulted numerous people on many occasions, something that a future president definitely shouldn’t be doing. In case you aren’t familiar, here’s how he insulted Carly Fiorina, vice-presidential running mate of Ted Cruz: “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?! I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta (sic) say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?” Not cool, Trump!
