This is Mary Reeser, a 67 year old woman from Florida, who died by spontaneous human combustion in 1951. Reeser’s remains, which were largely ashes, were found among the remains of a chair in which she had been sitting. Only part of her left foot (which was wearing a slipper) and her backbone remained.
This is an image from an incident in Enfield, UK that has been described as an authentic case of poltergeist activity. It involved two sisters aged 11 and 13 who were witnessed levitating in the air. Other alleged claims of activity included demonic voices, loud noises, thrown rocks and toys and overturned chairs.
This photograph of young girls floating has been circulating the internet for awhile now, but is yet to be explained.
This is an example of spirit photography, particularly popular in the nineteenth century. It was first used by William H. Mumler in the 1860s. Mumler discovered the technique by accident, after he discovered a second person in a photograph he took of himself.

This is a photograph of the excretion of ectoplasm during a seance. The material is excreted by mediems when in a trance state.
This is a picture of the Wem Town Hall ghost, taken in Shropshire, UK in 1995. The Town Hall caught fire and burned to the ground. A local resident took this photograph whilst firefighters fought the blaze. Some believe this is the ghost of a young girl called Jane Churm, who, in 1677, accidentally started a fire that destroyed many homes in the town. Jane also died in the fire.
